Basis is open-source, offline-first accounting software. Your financial data is stored in SQLite database files on your own infrastructure — not on Basis servers. This privacy policy describes what limited data is collected when you use the Basis Cloud service or visit this website.

If you use the Basis Cloud service (managed hosting), we collect and store:
We do not sell your data to third parties. Cloud data is stored in encrypted form in ISO 27001-certified data centres in Indonesia.
This website uses privacy-respecting analytics (no cookies, no fingerprinting). Aggregate page view counts are collected to understand which documentation pages are most useful. No personal data is stored.
If you sign up for release notifications or the newsletter, we store your email address and use it only to send the communications you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time.
For Basis Cloud users, you may request export or deletion of your account data at any time by contacting privacy@basis.app.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via the changelog and, for Cloud users, by email.
